This year again, Orange is supporting Armenia in its participation for the Eurovision.
The event, which is celebrating its 56th edition, is one of the most popular music contest throughout Europe, and one of the few gathering such a diversity of musical styles and artists. This is why Orange is proud to be part of an event bringing together Armenians of all ages and regions to share fun and emotions, while supporting Armenia’s participant singer, Emmy.
Eurovision again became real holiday in Yerevan and Vanadzor
Eurovision 2010 is already in the past, but the impressions from Eurovision-dedicated open air events will long stay with the residents of Yerevan and Vanadzor.
Being the official partner of Eurovision 2011 broadcast, this year again Orange turned Eurovision into a real city holiday.
On 14th of May, starting from 6pm many games, contests, creative events, dedicated mainly for children were taking place around Swan Lake, but the adults also were full of enthusiasm and wish to become the participants of these events. Starting from 21:00 pm Swan Lake, beautifully decorated and full of lights and colors, already for the second time hosted the exclusive “Eurovision” concert with performances of participants of previous Eurovision song contest and other artists. In particular, Andre, Inga and Anush Arshakyan, Vladimir Arzumanyan, “Arevik”, as well as the representative of Ukraine in Eurovision 2010 Alyosha performed. The party ended with live broadcast of Eurovision 2011 final.
Within the frames of Orange “Hello Europe” Vanadzor also joined this big European event. The open air music event full of surprises with participation of well-known DJ Smile and DJ Vakcina united thousands of young people.
Orange hosted Moldovan participants of Eurovision 2011
On April 4th, Orange hosted in its Northern Avenue flagship in Yerevan Zdob si Zdub, Moldova’s participant band. Besides being Armenia’s Eurovision official broadcast general sponsor for the second consecutive year, Orange also is Moldova’s Eurovision general sponsor for the fourth time.
Orange today wished good luck to Emmy before Dusseldorf
On April 29th the Armenian representative to Eurovision 2011 Emmy was received by Orange at its Flagship where Emmy met with her fans and journalists. This was the last meeting of Emmy with her fans and journalists before leaving for Düsseldorf.
During this meeting Orange also presented the events and surprises it has prepared for the fans of Eurovision in May.
Orange has prepared a special surprise for one of the members of the General Organization for Eurovision Fans in Armenia (Organisation Générale des Amateurs de l’Eurovision) Mariam Alexanyan. The active representatives of this Armenian association, who from the very first year of participation of Armenia in Eurovision Song Contest have been gathering around them the fans of this music event and by every means have been supporting the Armenian representatives to Eurovision, were noticed by Orange still last year. For the members of this association the presence in the Eurovision of this year was more than important, as only being personally present in the worldwide meeting of OGAE would enable them to gain the status of the OGAE’s official representative in Armenia. Because of lack of financial means they were obliged to accept the fact that they could not be present at the meeting. Taking into consideration the importance of this meeting for young Eurovision fans, Orange decided to grant them a ticket for this very much desired trip.
May 14, the day of the transmission of the final of Eurovision, will be unforgettable for the residents of Yerevan and Vanadzor with its new colors and various events. A “Eurovision” concert will be held in Yerevan with participation of the Armenian pop singers as well as with the Armenian representatives to Eurovision of the previous years. In Vanadzor, before the start of the live transmission of the final of Eurovision Song Contest, the residents of Vanadzor will be provided the chance to participate in an open-air music event with participation of well-known DJs.
